Bishop Bambera Visits

Bishop MassThe Most Rev. Joseph C. Bambera, D.D., bishop of Scranton, recently visited our school and celebrated Mass for our student body. Bishop Bambera delivered a message of finding Jesus by serving others. As a gift to Bishop Bambera, the student body presented 525 pounds of food to be donated to the St. Nicholas food pantry. They also presented a gift of $500 to the St. Vincent dePaul Kitchen in Bishop Bambera’s honor. The 8th graders will volunteer there on May 31 and will serve lunch to the people who use the soup kitchen. Bishop Bambera was joined by Msgr. David Tressler, superintendent of Catholic Schools. Clergy from supporting parishes also concelebrated the Mass.
